| | Today was so great! I was super excited to start really running again! I did 3x1000's. I didn't have a goal time, even though i ran the time trial?? but i got a second after kaelie so i went with her time - 5:16. Warmed up 1.5 miles then and times for the K's were 4:41, 4:51, 4:54, around there. Irene rolled my legs out- felt awesome!- then i ran a cool down with alli and josie.
Later we did the car wash fundraiser which was pretty fun! We had lotsa cars and lotsa help.

| | am: went to morning practice and ran a wonderful 3 miles to arctic circle. Shins only hurt a tiny bit but are definitely improving.
Pm: sadly, i didnt get to do the workout or go to the race cuz of drivers ed. But After school i got e stemmed and iced, continuing to get much better.

| | :( only 1 mile to pizza hut and back. My shin hurt really bad. I thought it was improving but all of the sudden it hurts again! I rolled and iced and stretched. I really hope it wont hurt too bad at the runathon.

| | Felt really good, finished the runathon this morning then went straight to the BYU football game. Pretty legit.

| | PM: Felt wonderful :) warmed up a 1.5 miles to harts and my shin hurt on the way back. Wasn't sure i would try the workout but decided to try 3x1000's. 91% i didnt have a time so i just ran based on how i felt. My times were 4:27, 4:27, 4:17. I stuck right behind liz on the first 2 and finished with Mia on the last one. Felt very good and was tempted to go more, but decided to stretch and run my cool down. Cooled down 1 mile and did weights, stretched, and rolled, feelin good:)

| | Ran the warm up with everyone to harts and back- 1 mile. My shin hurt really bad :( I didn't do the workout hoping to do the michigan tomorrow. I ran 4 more laps on the baseball field and that felt better on my shin but it still hurt. After that i went to mark's and iced and e-stemmed and talked about starting cross training because i have been injured for over a month now...

| | PM: Michigan! before warming up i got my arch and shin taped. the tape helped my arch but i dont think it helped my shin. maybe it made it hurt more. I did not feel good. shin really hurt the whole time. But i got B standard and 3rd on the team! Mescerem pushed me alot for the first 2.5 miles! Finished time was 32:48 or something like that. Not quite sure.

Herriman Invitational (3.107 Miles) 00:24:50, Place overall: 3, Place in age division: 7 | | Varsity girls/guys missed school on friday to go to herriman. About 2ish we ran the state course which was alot better than last time we ran it! I felt okay... I fell a little behind but not too bad.
Race: we ended up missing our race :/ bummer. So we ran the JV race! warmed up about a mile and then went up the the start. First half mile was awful. I wish i had started out faster! I got boxed in and couldnt get up where i wanted till we were in almost a mile. My pace was really off there. But finally i got into 3rd place and made a gap on everyone else behind me. I focused on catching up to mia and the girl behind her. Never happened. First mile was just under 8 minutes. The second had more downhill and i got just under 15 minutes. Right after the 2nd mile was the mutha cussa. I was able to get up it fine, but the second i reached the top my legs were dead. The last mile dragged on and my legs felt really heavy. But luckily no one passed me. The last 1/2 mile i really tried to make myself push harder to possibly get 2nd behind mia but i couldnt make myself go any faster. Finished third with 24:50- which surprised me, but it was super muddy and hilly so i guess it makes sense. But overalll it was sooo fun! I love trail runs and so that help me be positive and to have fun and not worry which helped alot. The mud made it fun too:) and my shins didnt hurt AT ALL and my breathing was good. After the races we had awards, i got a cool bag, I wish every race was like this one.

| | Ran the warm up then a 400 m. Shin hurt too much to do more so I went and biked for 25 minutes. That felt good on my legs.

| | Taking the week off this week, Hoping to use this week to recover and hopefully be able to race and feel good for next week.

| | Went to Marks room and got taped and stuff. He thinks i may have a stress fracture so i am going to go to a specialist and get x-rayed soon... Its a good thing I stopped running this week and I may have to not run for a while. we'll see after I get x-rayed i guess :/

| | I got x-rayed today to find bad news. Looks like I wont be running for the next 3 weeks. Hearing that pretty much ruined my day:( I was really hoping to be able to run region. Still am hoping!
